Assessor Awards

The A1 Assessor Award is designed for those who want to qualify as a Children's Care, Learning and Development Assessor.

You will be required to attend an information morning during which an initial assessment will be completed. Following successful completion of this assessment you will attend three training days at triangle. Once achieving the A1 assessment you will be required to attend a standardisation meeting every four months.

In order to undertake this Award you must fulfil ALL of the requirements listed below:

Be a qualified Early Years Practioner
Work in an early years setting
Be in a supervisory position
Have held a post for a minimum of one year within the last two years, which involved performing activities defined in the standards

Have at least three years post qualifying experience

Be able to assess a minimum of three candidates undertaking their Apprenticeship with triangle

Be able to assess candidates undertaking NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development and Classroom Assistants or Childcare with triangle

Be able to assess one full unit per candidate.

A1 Award

A1= Assess candidates using a range of methods.
This unit includes:

Assessing candidates against agreed standard of competencies using a range of assessment methods
Giving candidates feedback on your assessment decisions
Contributing to the internal quality assurance process.
